HUDON. Irving F. Hudon, 74, of Hampden, MA, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He was born Sept. 1, 1922 in Torrington, and attended the Torrington schools. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in World War II. He worked for Roncari Industries for 25 years, retiring in 1986 as Vice President. He then worked for A.C.I. from 1986 to the present as a consultant. He was a member of the American Legion Post no. 379 in Indian Orchard, MA, and the Hampden VFW. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Eleanor (Hauschild) Hudon, one daughter, Dorothy Echlin; and one grandson, Stephen Glidden, all of Hampden, MA. The funeral will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Byron Funeral Home, 1858 Allen St., Springfield, MA. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 300, Memphis, TN 38148-0552.
