Maurice M. Kenstler of Las Vegas 84 passed away Wednesday September 23, 2015 Born on May 5, 1931 in Sturgis, South Dakota to Fred and Mary Kenstler. The eldest of 7 children he was proceeded in death by his lifelong wife Maxine, his parents and brother Paul, sisters Maureen and Joanne. He is survived by 3 sons Allen, Dirk and Scott. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Andy, AJ, Oliver and Sabrina and 2 sisters Carol and Kathleen and brother Kevin. Maurice was a long life pilot having owned his own crop dusting business in Larned, Kansas. He also crop dusted in central California for many years. Over a period of his 15 years he flew and managed for Continental and Air America in South East Asia during the Vietnam War. He flew cargo and passenger planes for Emory Air and Rosen Balm Air. He also flew B-17s for the Forest Service. Maurice loved flying having stated out in a J-3 Piper Club in Newall, South Dakota at age 17, Maurice was also a 32 degree Mason. He also served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Palm Cheyenne on October 7, 2015 at 2:00p.m.
