(February 25, 1933 - April 13, 2009)

Richard F. Dillon, 76, of Hendersonville,NC passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2009.
He was born in Canadaigua, NY, a son of the late Matthew and Kathryn O'Keefe Dillon and had been an area resident for over 21 years. A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he retired as a financial analyst from the American Can Company following over 33 years of service. He was past president of the Tamarac Association, delivered Meals on Wheels with the Henderson County Council on Aging for over fourteen years, participated in the Senior Mixed Bowling League at Tar Heel Lanes and was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Brown Dillon; two sons, Matthew Dillon and his wife AnnMarie of Key West, FL; Michael Dillon of Rochester, NY; two daughters, Catherine Dillon of Palmyra, NY; Coleen Clark and her husband Thomas of San Jose, CA; two brothers, Jack Dillon of Palmyra, NY; Edward Dillon of Geneseo, NY; a sister, Margaret Schilling and her husband DuWayne of Macedon, NY; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be held at 2PM, Monday, April 20, 2009 at Shepherd Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henderson County Council on Aging, 105 King Creek Rd.
