Peter Kenneth Brown

Peter K. Brown, 70, a lifelong resident of Springfield, died Friday, December 31, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Ware on Aug. 1, 1951, he was the son of the late Thomas P. Brown, Sr. and Marion F. (Hauschild) Brown. Peter was a graduate of the former Trade High School in Springfield. He served as the president of J. L. S. Youth Baseball for 25 years, and was one of the initial inductees to the Western Mass. Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
Peter is survived by his wife of 50 years, Michelle L. (Douglas) Brown, two daughters, Christine Magnani and her husband Joseph of Springfield, and Jennifer Carlson of Southampton, four brothers, Thomas Brown of Connecticut, Albert Brown of Las Vegas, NV, John Brown of Springfield and Michael Brown of Florida, as well as his six grandchildren, Kayla, Olivia, Jack, Emma, Elayna and Nathan, one great-granddaughter, Anoura and many nieces and nephews.
Peter was the father of the late Arthur Brown who died in 2018, and the brother of the late Patricia Burden.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Peter's family will wait and schedule a Celebration of Life gathering in the Spring when it is safer to gather.
