WENATCHEE _ Katherine H. Thrapp, 93, a native of Wenatchee, died Tuesday, April 20, 1993, in Highline Convalescent Center after a short illness.

She was born June 16, 1899, to Michael and Mary (Brown) Sullivan, at Wenatchee. She attended and graduated from Wenatchee city schools. She married June Beal Thrapp on Aug. 15, 1917, at Wenatchee. The first Mass on record in Wenatchee was celebrated in the Great Northern Section House, the residence of her parents.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Catherine's Guild and the Council of Catholic Women. She was a 60-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a Red Cross volunteer for 35 years.

She is survived by three sons, Robert of Salt Lake City, Utah, Howard of Reno, Nev., and Leonard of Seattle; four daughters, Pauline ]Neilands of Colfax, Mary Ann Winn of Olympia, Katherine Carroll of Los Gatos, Calif., and Carol Knutson of Kent; a sister, Carmel Smith of Wenatchee; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband who died Aug. 3, 1974, three brothers and four sisters.
