Maurice and John Brown were natives of County Kerry, Ireland. They came to America and were together until they got to Chillicothe, Ohio at which time John drifted away from his brother, and has never been heard from since. Thomas Brown, a half brother of Maurice and John Brown came to Minnesota with his family from Ireland many years later and settled on a forty acre farm in Derrynane. Later the family moved to Kilkenny where his descendants now reside.
